Optics Girl is designed to be a resource for those wishing to learn more about the science behind lasers, nature, technology, and pretty much everything else in between! Please leave comments below if there is anything that you would like explained better, or that has been missed in the pages of the website.

The Mission

I aim to provide content that is logically outlined, to provide the best possible experience for viewers. I love optics, so I want everyone else to also!

I will go through some problems from well-known optics texts, and hopefully you will be able to test your knowledge too.

Let’s keep the cycle going!

About Me

I am a graduate student in Electrical Engineering. My research concentration is in ultrafast fiber laser systems, with applications as far reaching as biomedical and next-generation particle accelerators. Aside from school, I love reading (Tom Robbins is my guilty-pleasure), running, photography, and empowering the next generation of women scientists!
