Dielectric Layer

Interference from dielectric layers begins our discussion of amplitude-splitting interferometry. We will learn about a variety of other, very useful forms of amplitude splitting interferometry in the next few sections. Dielectric layers themselves are used for a wide variety of applications, from anti-reflection window coatings to wavelength selective filters for use in the lab.
